Hello Amazing Readers,
This is the concluding post of my Up North Trip where I spent 10 days exploring Kano, Bauchi, Gombe and Jos. You can read about each state if you have not as I had a swell time. After exploring the city of Jos on Day 1 here , we started off day 2 very early as we were going out of Jos town to explore . Our plan for the day was to visit the Riyom Rocks and famous Assop Waterfalls. After a 2 hours drive from the city, we arrived at Riyom rocks popularly called the three rock wonder and among the top places to visit in Plateau state.
There are several rock formations in Plateau state however Riyom Rocks, Wase Rocks and Shere Hills are the most popular. Our friend and guide who took us here immediately asked us to be fast about taking pictures here as he told us that we might be asked to pay a fee by the locals . After taking pictures, we continued our journey and I found strawberries for the first time sold at 200 naira which the same quantity is sold for about 2000 naira in Lagos where I live so you can imagine my surprise. You can hear how excited I was here.
Our second and last destination was to the Assop waterfall which I totally enjoyed as I am a big fan of Waterfalls in Nigeria. I have been to five various waterfalls in Nigeria and they are in Osun, Cross River, Kwara, Anambra and now Plateau. The waterfall was breathtaking and I wished we could go in but our guide informed us that it was not advisable due to the depth of it. I appreciated God’s work as usual, took pictures and we left.
We got back into town, ate and packed up our things as we were flying back to Lagos the next day and this brought an end to my 10 days Northern Trip which was super amazing, fun and filled with so much lessons . Plateau state gave me so much joy, fresh fruits, fresh food and very good vibes and I am definitely going to be visiting Jos again .

That was such a packed 10-day itinerary! Loved it!
Thank you so much!!
It’s the colour of the rocks for me Diusor! I like how brown and clay-like they look and without any weed infestation. Great post and fun packed too. Your guide was super quick about those pictures, that’s another hint for people visiting.
