Food Shack! Food Shack!! Food Shack!!!
Lately, I have found myself wanting to try new food places and in my bid to find a new restaurant, I visited Food Shack on my way from the Lekki Art and Craft Market. I had read a lot of reviews about their legendary basmati jollof rice and I totally looked forward to having some of it! Located in a simple but lovely place on Ologun Agbeje street in Victoria Island, Lagos; though you have to search for it properly (Landmark is Creative Designs).
A waiter immediately gave us the menu and honestly all I was thinking about was their jollof rice which I have been anticipating.
To my utmost surprise, they didn’t have Jollof rice that day because they were exhibiting at the GTBank Food and Drink Fair, I was hurt!
Anyway, I ended up ordering their sweet potato fries, turkey wings and their Raspberry Pear Mojito which was the major thing I liked. My friend had their Burger and according to her it was bland and she had to request for ketchup to spice it up a bit.
I totally love the concept of the food being served in wooden trays, the setting of the eating area, though they set up outside at evenings and it’s a good place to hang out with friends, colleagues or your partner.Looking for a nice Place to Eat in Lagos? However, one thing I should mention is that their food takes a long while to come. Our meals together cost about 9000naira inclusive of VAT. Hopefully, I would visit here again and try their Jollof Rice. I hear they do deliveries and have happy hour on Fridays with discounted drinks by the way.
Have you been to food shack before? What was your experience like? Let me know your thoughts if you would like to visit this place or you have visited.
Much Love from your Favourite Ajala!
