My Journey to Oyo State

Hello Friend,

I trust that you are good? I recently shared on how I would love to visit 25 states in Nigeria before I turn 25. If you haven’t read it, you should check it out here

So, yesterday the 19th of November,2016 I made it to the city of Ibadan in Oyo State which makes it officially my 6th state in my journey. yayy!!!

This particular trip was organized by Social prefect as one of their many tours. The journey from Lagos to Ibadan lasted about 3hours due to ongoing construction.

On Arriving Ibadan, our first stop was at Mapo Hall , which rumor has it that most presidents of Nigeria come to campaign there. As told, the foundation was laid in 1924 and the building was completed in 1929. People who didn’t pay their tax and people who committed any offence where brought up to  the top of the hall as a form of punishment till their family came to bail them out.

-At the top of Mapo hall

From the top of Mapo hall, the view of the city is amazing as it gives one a chance to view a beautiful and lovely scenery, one that leaves memories

– Views from the Top?

From Mapo hall, we headed to Agodi gardens which is located near the Oyo State Secretariat Complex, Agodi, Ibadan. This garden was open to the public in 2014 and has attractions enclosed in it such as a playground for children, waterpark and animal enclosure.

Although the animal enclosure is still undergoing work but we saw a few monkeys, a crocodile and a supposed lion which we were told was asleep

We headed to the waterpark area, where a few people swam, played games and we ate.

Although I didn’t get to eat the legendary amala of Ibadan but I’m definitely coming back to this city!
My trip was fully sponsored by chapter one, A big thank you to them!

I had so much fun, so much to eat and drink and I met some super amazing people; oh yeah it’s my 20th birthday on Saturday the 26th of November!! and yeah I have officially visited 6  states before turning 20.

Thanks to my iPhone for my pictures and snap chat filters ??
